The Congress “Gaps and Knowledge in Chronic Respiratory Diseases” is now in its 6th edition and this year presents a scientific program of international relevance, enriched by the participation of nationally and internationally renowned experts. The event aims to explore current issues and future perspectives in the management and treatment of asthma and COPD.
The program will consist of sessions devoted to “Hot Topics” in chronic lung disease, updates on the GINA and GOLD guidelines, and the approach to “treatable traits” in asthma. Experts will address crucial topics such as comorbidities in severe asthma and available treatment options, providing a space for sharing realworld data through ongoing projects; special attention will be paid to the use of artificial intelligence in respiratory medicine, exploring the potential and opportunities it offers.
The importance of personalized management in COPD will be discussed, analyzing cardiovascular comorbidities and tailored pharmacological strategies, while emphasis will be placed on defining and preventing flare-ups, providing essential updates for improving patient prognosis. The second day of the event, in particular, will see a focus on new targets for intervention, with presentations on innovative topics such as mucosal plugs in COPD and endobronchial treatment; finally, a panel of experts will participate in a panel discussion, providing an additional opportunity for discussion and debate among participants.
